Trip to the mountains on new year day...

It's been a very long time here.... work kept me away...

Now at home and lazing around... and relaxing a lot of course, do whatever you feel like... watch how much ever movies you desire, time like that i was missing for a long time... a relaxed time... 

Finally on new year day i decided to break the couch potato mode of me.... Got my brothers out of the house, had a ride to the mountains.... the destination was Wagamon, green green mountain-side with lots of pine trees and meadows...

It took an hour to reach there.... with riding along hair-pin roads, along the wester ghats mountain ranges..... took lots of pics, more than the pics, it was the view... never got to enjoy the beauty of my own home place...

Wagamon was supposed to chill cool... but we reached there in the noon time.... Though sunny, walks around the meadows, I forgot all the work which awaits me in hyd... all the traumas of the phd extension.... 

I was a great way to celebrate new year.... unforgettable.... 

I have now a couple of days of holidays left, but when i get back to hyd, i never think i wasted my holidays, I just had myself recharged....

I havent uploaded any photoes other than in facebook and orkut... hope its viewable here too...

Last minute decision.... going home...
Was thinking of staying here, chicken pox scare at home.... but the place was more boring than I thought initially, with all friends leaving day by day to home...
I couldn't make up my mind to stay here...
Moreover I am almost jobless here... With all papers in proper places and a thesis not going to be on submission state, it is just a waste to stay here....
Finally, to home...

"Hello Juby, it's Kissy..."

Yeah... that was Kissy indeed.... Finally I got to hear my penpal's voice.... 

She was in India for almost 2 weeks, and I was making plans to fly to Pondicherry and meet her there.... But, some reasons I couldnt.... 

Then came the phone call... Oceans apart, but her letters and mails were there... but a phone call for the first time....

Today was a bad day for me accademiccaly, but her phone call made my day.... Thanks Kissy....

I am so  excited, I am not able to write anything....

Still waiting...

I am waiting... I think the Lufthanasa is testing my patience.... My baggage didnt reach me yet... 

One day they dont have flight to hyderbad...

Next day there were some security reasons to load the baggage... and today is the day it may come...

Again a second call from their office, 2 out of the are loaded, 3rd one still in Rome... what the hell... !!!

Suprprised... and angry I am on this airlines...

Lufthansa is supposedly the best in international airs... but this is something strange from them,...

So I am still waiting... fingers crossed... not charged my mobile or camera... (all adapters in the check-in bag plus all USBs... what a tragedy!!!)

Where is my baggage...

I think the Romans love me.... One more time, they have not sent me my baggage.... I dont know why they are keeping it there... grr.... 

After more than 26hours of travel, you reach ur city finding your bags missing, what should we reacct or extreame fatigue... I dint have any energy fight yday when i came back... anyway fights wont bring my bags to me... its miles away.... I have to keep my fingers crossed till tomorrow... to know the wine bottles in the bags are safe or not...

Anyways the trip was great, and presentation went well... with lots of positive response and comments from the people in the field.... these encouraging response was the best of all the trip... though truly the best parts were also the Italian food and wine... 

Wine.... truly Sicilian, I miss those.. with most photoes uploaded in Orkut and facebook, I am not keeping anything here... but can't help keeping one of the Roman temples....

A short post from Sicily....

I am here in Sicily, the mafialand... all these 6 days I survived...

The presntation went well... Had Sicilian wine.... Pasta.... hmm.. everything went according to plan....

And had wonderful trip to 2 archelogical plaves here... (details soon)....
