To home for X'mas....

Last minute decision.... going home...
Was thinking of staying here, chicken pox scare at home.... but the place was more boring than I thought initially, with all friends leaving day by day to home...
I couldn't make up my mind to stay here...
Moreover I am almost jobless here... With all papers in proper places and a thesis not going to be on submission state, it is just a waste to stay here....
Finally, to home...

Still waiting...

I am waiting... I think the Lufthanasa is testing my patience.... My baggage didnt reach me yet...
One day they dont have flight to hyderbad...
Next day there were some security reasons to load the baggage... and today is the day it may come...
Again a second call from their office, 2 out of the are loaded, 3rd one still in Rome... what the hell... !!!
Suprprised... and angry I am on this airlines...
Lufthansa is supposedly the best in international airs... but this is something strange from them,...
So I am still waiting... fingers crossed... not charged my mobile or camera... (all adapters in the check-in bag plus all USBs... what a tragedy!!!)

Where is my baggage...

I think the Romans love me.... One more time, they have not sent me my baggage.... I dont know why they are keeping it there... grr....

After more than 26hours of travel, you reach ur city finding your bags missing, what should we reacct or extreame fatigue... I dint have any energy fight yday when i came back... anyway fights wont bring my bags to me... its miles away.... I have to keep my fingers crossed till tomorrow... to know the wine bottles in the bags are safe or not...

Anyways the trip was great, and presentation went well... with lots of positive response and comments from the people in the field.... these encouraging response was the best of all the trip... though truly the best parts were also the Italian food and wine...

Wine.... truly Sicilian, I miss those.. with most photoes uploaded in Orkut and facebook, I am not keeping anything here... but can't help keeping one of the Roman temples....

Busy busy me...

I think its been ages since i had posted something here... How I was busy all these months I can't even explain in words... and for the past few weeks, the pages in my personal diary is empty too... There are certain things which I love a lot; like blogging, writing... but nothing 's happening these days...
Paper writing and discussions with boss are the happening things around... Many a times I had blogged b4 that 'I am busy... I am busy....' The real busy me is in full form now... Many a things ahppening around me upon which I blog regularly... those became so not important to me to share with my friends... Though the 'photos' album keeps filling up in my laptop, photoblogs didnt come... Seems like I restricted myself to my own world...
With just more than a couple of months left for me in the campus, I am in 100% seriousness of the work and the thesis...
But somehow, I needed a short break, boss off a week, this week is a perfect week to relax  bit... a blog first and proper sleep for few days... 'I will be back soon...' :-)

Like never before...

It's all work work over my desk now... All online games, chatting reduced considerably... Somehow boss is happy on what I am doing now... A bit more work, I can wind up and pack off from this place...
Equations are in even my dreams now... numbers and exponentials and integrals work out even when I eat... It's nice to be a workaholic, feels good, like never before...
Outings and movies reduced a lot... Less music plays in my laptop and mobile... But still it feels good like never before...
'Photoes' album takes time to get the size increased... Photography was always my first passion... But feels good like never before...
It's not raining much, the climate is like summer... But feels good, like never before...
Infact, the feeling is great... after an interval, back again with a 'Big Bang'!!!

And I danced...

Finally rain in Hyderabad... After many days playing hide and seek with all, it showered here...

It happened all unexpectedly... We were sitting in Gops having a up of tea over discussion on many a topics, sudenly the heaven opened up.. and the shower was heavy.. None had any umbrella... SO the fun started... Me and 2 of my friends decided to have a walk in the rain... In that heavy wind and bit of lightning, we walked around, with my bike safely somewhere, infact NOVA had a shower too...

Reaching hostel, I found my wing-mates in terrace... So fun second phase- played around n terrace, splashing water on each other... it was like childhood back again....

Rains in Hyderabad finally.. and guess who can be more happier... To much into fun I was, forgot to take a single snap...

Beauty by the roadside...

Found these 'ugly' (as some commented some time back) bush on a night walk this week.... Got to capture it today... It was by the roadside, among some flowers; to our science complex... anytime someone will come and burn it; they are weeds, not welcome in the world of colours...

But it had the beauty of its own...

Feeling the heat...

The whole of India is trying to chase the 'great monsoon'... End of May already here, the talk of June1 in air now... The long wait after terrific heat... Many have experienced the worst sumer of their lives this year...

But for few of us here in campus, it's not just the summer heat, but few other things related to work... The pressure of the final year in PhD is on most of us... Many feel that heat too much...

For me, it's a long way to go though things looks very 'few to be done'... infact, things are just few... but the acceleration was not so proper now... Like in cricket the final overs should be smashed like anything... The enthusiasm is not so high... The longer it takes to be in the final full swing... the harder the heat is... and I feel the heat too...

An amazing experience...

I was a cricket fan sometime back... was too much into watching that as well as playing... I remember during my school and collage days, even during exams, I will be stuck up infront of the TV watching whole day...

The interest finally lost due to may facts; many match fixing episodes and my fav stars not playing well... But recently the 20-20 roused my interest again back to cricket watching... with all the big shots coming together, it was a treat...

Never in my life I was in a stadium watching any international sports event... It was my dream some years back to watch a cricket match in a stadium... Finally that dream came true yesterday when we went to watch Hyderabad team (Deccan Chargers) playing against Mumbai Indians... Seeing Sachin and Jayasurya firing... Pollack walking by... Bravo fielding... and Gilchrist's wicketkeeping... wow I say... all infront of my eyes...

Though the Hyderabad team lost, nobody was really upset, infact many like me came for supporting Mumbai too, and many for Sachin... Infact when Sachin got out there was a silence for a while... Everyone came to see him firing to the last... The atmosphere was really rocking... First time in my life I was part of the Mexican wave in a stadium... Everything turned out so good yesterday, an unforgettable night...

The only sad part was neither camera nor mobile phones were allowed inside on security reasons, that made so much uncomfortability, had a tough time tracing my brother and sushil before the match... and none can tell how I missed my camera... such an event infront of my eyes and I didnt take a single photo :(

Happily @ Home...

Finally, I am in the God's own country... The journey was fine... No delay in flight... And reached home at expected time...

Started from the Rajiv Gandhi Int airport in Shamshabad.... This new one in Hyderabad had really international standards... Sadly, I couldn't take much pics of the airport, which was worth taking; may be next time... With acres and acres of land and more staff things are running so fine... The flight I took was not delayed even a minute... The perfectness of the airport efficiency we can imagine...

Reaching at cochin, the temp was 33... but couldnt feel that much... coming from 45, 33 was cooler place... Reached home by evening... And rest of the story, eat sleep and the process goes on...

Off to home...

Finally, decided to go home... Sick days and depressing times, couldn't fight the summer fury in Hyderabad...

Now off to the land of rains... to recover the lost energy, recharge all batteries, and come back fresh to work... Infact 'work will get delayed', boss says... but anyway take a break is what I needed...

So off to a much awaited break...

Who can hear a Who!!!

Being a small kid years back, I had an imagination when playing with small small insects and creatures... Looking down at the tiny world of ants and flies, I had wondered many a times whether there will be someone or something; some creature who consider we humans as some tiny creature... I imagined some field of a fig fat creature upon whose field we humans were like dusts, invisible to the whole ‘big’ world... The imagination of the kid then was not based on any “Horton Hears a Who!” which was a 1954 book by Dr. Seuss... I never read that book when I was small...

Growing up, learning about the universe and the galaxies around, the childish imagination were replaced by scientific facts...

Later finding the book above and later, watching the movie last day... I found it was not a silly childish imagination... ‘it’s everybody’s’...

The book/movie tells the story of story of Horton the Elephant who, on the fifteenth of May in the Jungle of Nool, hears a small speck of dust talking to him. It turns out the speck of dust is actually a tiny planet, home to a city called "Whoville", inhabited by microscopic-sized inhabitants known as Whos... The Whos ask Horton (who, though he cannot see them, is able to hear them quite well) to protect them from harm, to which Horton happily obliges telling "a person's a person, no matter how small"... It tells Horton’s journey across the woods to save the tiny world from his neighbors, who refuse to believe that anything could survive on the speck...

Though a very short film, it has enough stuff for entertainment... with the voice of Jim Carrey along with some cool animation, the movie is funny altogether...

So next time when you look down upon any ‘small world’... we are not the mightiest.... we are just miniatures in the whole universe... who knows there are mighty ones somewhere in the galaxy....

Happy b'day / anniversary MOTO....

Was thinking about blogging on something other than photoblogs... Usually I don’t need an occasion to blog... small small things around, looks unimportant catches some attention... Last day I was going through the photo collection of mine... In few albums there is something called ‘from MOTO’... i.e., from my phone... Clear and high quality pics as expected from any Motorola phones... Checking all I found the first of all those were taken on 15-04-07; the day my mobile was bought after my previous MOTO almost died... So it’s anniversary or Birthday... what to call still have no idea...

Whatever one year of successful performance still continuing from MOTO... Everything works fantastically as the same though the battery longevity reduced a bit... The classy shiny blue is still looking fresh and new...

Hmm... I feel better...

"The great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do..."

It came as 'Today's fortune' for me... I hardly believe in stuff like that... but like the quotes google keeps in the home page sometimes...

Today's fortune quotes above for me; I feel it's just for me... Because I am doing the same now...

It always happens; there will someone or some group always there to criticize or laugh at our actions and behavior and it happens to be neither they are good at anything... just interested in keeping our spirits down... I am surrounded by some of those kind of people... the kind of people just waiting for a chance to laugh at me... and waiting for me moment to see me tumble... With such people around I was cautious in my public profile... 'I should not give a chance'...

But recently one of my friends opened my eyes on something I never thought of... She told me... 'how better you are than those bunch, you are trying; that makes you a winner.... but those who never even try to do something; they are just losers... you don't have to worry about those people; because they just talk and you do...'

Hmm... why should I let myself down... I can do better things... I know that.... and in past I have done that... I just have to believe in myself... and if someone desire that I fall down, I can show that I won't fall but fly...

And it's blue blue sky again....

The sky it's cleared up... after a week of gloom, it changed it's colors back to summer again...

The rain was good, relieving from the heat... but it brought me confined to room because of the bad cold and fever I got because of the rain... last week-end I was in rain for 3 days... too many parties and functions to attend... and roamed around in Nova a lot in rain... The aftereffect, one week of sickness...

Finally today I saw the sky getting cleared up, so does my fever and cold... I am in lab in perfect health... Boss had given me o much work at the beginning of the week, I couldn't finish any full... so lots of things to catch up...

And... from tomorrow whole of my group will be out of station... all going to Bhubaneswar for a workshop... it's for the experimentalists, so the theoretician; me is staying back here... with a desire to finish some works... hope I can do; with the University fest coming up next week and so many other distractions around too...

Rain, Easter and a busy Week-end...

Thus went by another week-end, fun filled and busy... It was so special in many senses... Holi week-end first of all... then came the rain... and many parties inbetween...

All started with the Good Friday rain... We all went to church drenched only to know that the mass was in Telugu... all of us were non-Telugues... so we were just standing and listening to the 'unknown' but 'known' language... A rain on Good Friday was expected... But nobody expected it to last for days...

Saturday my friend Dame had a party to give... She is from Meghalaya and her Dad is now the new Chief Minister there... A toast to the new CM behalf of his daughter... Rain tried to make the spoil spot, but it was fun...

Easter, my last one in Hyderabad... needed to be celebrated... After the mass, my boss invited his whole group for a lunch... In the afternoon myself Jacob and Gineesh started our Easter dinner preparations... Appam and chicken was the special of the day... My close buddies in university came over... had a wonderful and memorable dinner with all chit-chats and movies...

During lunch with my guide's family we all got to see the Bhagavath Gita episodes from his collection... While watching that he was stressing on the fact 'work is worship'... that was his moto all his life... After all the festivities yesterday I had another motivational talk from my boss... 'Time is money'... 'You are running out of time'... As before, it's me again back to the busy schedules again... I am working on 3 problems now... that means 3 papers to be written soon...

Slowing down!?

It's worst stage in my phase of work... when we are supposed to be at the best, we are seeing in the ourself in the reverse trend... It's depressing time...

Being in the final year, I am supposed to see the last page of my work... but instead, the pressure had eaten me almost and I am finding myself confused and lost...

LOST in real sense... I am in a stage where I don't know where to go next... what to do next... I did know what I was doing and how far to go... Now I feel blank inside...

People say it's the time... it's the weather... hmm... but it's not good at all... Everyone says they are in the same phase... like a 'researcher's block'... nothing coming out... want to do many a things... but like a dehydrated vegetable...

What needed this time is some energy boosters... a motivational breakthrough result... hmm... I am in the process of writing 3 more abstracts for 3 more conferences coming up soon... lots of things to do...

Waiting for my boost up...

A fun filled week-end....

It has been a very busy week-end... and fun filled too...

To start with; the Women's day celebration here... It's the last one for me here in campus... and being in the busy schedule I didn't put much effort for organization. But on the D Day its all on the senior citizens to take care... Well right from the games till the last music beat of the midnight DJ... I was non-stop running...

Everytime organization is fun when we have a great team round... this time too, all my old buddies were there... So Just like old days... we did it again... The photoes tell more of the stories...

Sunday Jacob had decided for a dinner party in his new house... But the previous day's work had given me a bad cold and head ache... I was sneezing all the time... Still managed to get up at 11.00am and dragged myself to the house... Once the cooking process started with Jacob and Sushil in kitchen, I forgot my ill health... The chicken curry they made; yummy plus the veg dish and salad from my hands and home made pickles made the dinner....

Back again in the week days... busy... seminars and meeting boss... happening one after another...

Inbetween I found some time for photographing the flowery campus... may be I can upload that later and save for yet another photoblog...

Busy March...

Finally March here... so does summer in Hyderabad... Days are getting hotter... and energy lesser... Work has slowed down a bit; mostly attributed to the fun filled football month February... It seemed I was back in my old working ways; but March is again a sporty month... All school games and athletics coming up.. How much ever I tried to hide away from the responsibility of organizing and participating... grr... I was traced out...

From 11th till 26th... with many gaps... all these events are going to happen... and I am one of the organizers plus a sure participant of athletics... It's again me finding extra time for my work... like in Feb...

It's not just sports; but many other things in our school too... Sometimes it's good to be in the limelight; but sometimes responsibilities in excess is a headache... Being one of the senior most people expect a lot from me I know... but I need to get time for my works too... Difficult time... But I know I can manage...

Don't know why...

Don't know why...

Why I feel the gloom.... though there is enough sunshine outside...
Why I feel lonely.... though there are a hundred around me...
Why I feel like crying.... though there are a thousand reasons to smile...

Sometimes I don't know the 'Me' in me....

Party times!!!

It's party time here... High...

With different teams.. winners and runners up... gathering together... and invitations being sent out to few of the close teams... its busy time here from last thursday.. Starting with the Mallu victory party on last thursday, it was the 4rd yesterday....

And today is my special party to my close friends and team and my own team party on Wednesday...

Parties, its not just the food; regarding the food, everything is cooked by the students only... We mallus are gearing up for the cooking session after few hours... The shopping is done and the place is set... now just to meet all and have a great time cooking and singing songs and finally at night thanking all for the help and support and enjoy the dinner in open air with stars looking over...

For me it's a special party today since the last football tournament may be the last of the kind in HCU for me... leaving this year from campus, no more team events for me... So a perfect time for expressing my gratitude to all...

All around here are helping me in cooking and shopping... It's touching... I feel I owe them lot more than just a party...

Misfits... The new champs...

Misfits.... Misfits....

The name was around the field for 2 days... Finally yesterday night when our captain received the winners prize; we too shouted at the top of our voice "misfits"...

Yeah, we won... we are the women football champs of HCU...

The first match against the Nagaland team last day was tough in a sense they played defense and I really had a tough time being the striker... But managed a goal... finally we won the match on penalty shoot out...

The final was worse... against the Mizo team... they were famous for rough game... and we were really roughened... Me and my my captain scored one goal each... But the referee mistakes gave the opponents 2 penalties inbetween and the match again went to penalty shoot out... Unlike the other day I didn't miss the shot... We won 2-0 in penalties...

The excitement followed was high... we danced, we jumped, we screamed... afterall it was our day... and we felt we deserved the victory...

To add to all these more happy news... Mallus won the men's title... So the party going double...

Misfiters time ahead...

Finally Monday... I hate Mondays... The fact that I dint show up my face in department on Saturday and Sunday make things even worse... A research scholar should never have week-ends.... Somebody told some time back; my boss... Anyway he didn't tell anything regarding my absence...

Whole week-end the Misfits were getting ready for the great tournament... Today 'Night cup' football starts here in HCU... Tomorrow is our match... The 'Misfit' team is ready... though with few injuries (including me)...
That's our team... A mention about the team name... It has nothing to do with the 'Fitness'... The fact is when people form team on communities and all we are a mix of all... people from different states... We wont fit any where... but will fit everywhere... So all are waiting for the kick-off moment now...

I am the only one Research Scholar in the team... So need to finish so much of work in the mean time also... because my boss is not happy with my sporting activities in campus... he says I am too much involved in those... than research... So I can never neglect my work here and go after the matches alone....

Who's Young?

Question of the day... I was forced to ask myself this question after having interaction with one of the 2nd year Integrated MSc (equivalent to 2nd year in Bachelor of arts) student last day...

I was with a mission of motivation few in their batch to participate in some sports and games going to happen here in university... Whole bunch of these teenagers were so inactive from the day they joined the university which was not expected as they were just coming from school and supposedly with full energy and spirits...

In answer to my question of 'why not?'... she just answers... 'we are not so young as you?' Surprised at this teen's answer I asked... ' I am 10 years older than you, how you think I am younger?'...

'Young means, young in mind... you are so active and spirited... we are not so enthusiasts...'

OMG, all these young bunch if they feel old at this age!!! We 'old people'... we are still young too!!! Nice realization... But worried about the real 'youngsters' who needs some push...

Wind of change... The rising Phoenix...

Change, its always good... Keeping ourself same for a long time... we will forget the real us... Once in a while we need to change the wind direction.... and see how we are in the new situation, the new atmosphere...

Survived??? then we are capable to anything and everything... strong...

The change came unexpected for me... thought it's difficult to cope up... but I survived... or in a better word... 'WON'... I won the war...

Let the wind blow again... I don't mind... I have the confidence in me now... to face anything... to do anything... and to be what I am...

It's football time...

I am back again... guess what... after cricket, its football season in campus... so excited... My final Nari cup football I suppose...

My team had won twice here in university.. but last year we didnt play... the reason was 95% of my team had finished their course and left the campus... and I missed them most and didnt look out for new players combined with some hectic research work...

This year also I thought, just like in cricket; 'ok no time for any more team formation, focus on work and leave'... But just like cricket, one team came for me... I couldnt say NO...

So I am back again... back as 'ME'... feeling so good... We worked out a bit in the mosrning... Our coach was optimistic... With a week to go, we have lots of work to do..,

Life without internet....

The importance of internet... and the fact that I can't live a day without it... I realised today... All these days after the problem of internet connectivity in India, today was the worst day in university... Even google stopped working... University server unlike any other day was faster... But the connection to the outside world... my online community... it was stopped all on a sudden.. one ful day...

Many a times my friends had warned ne of this internet addiction... I couldnt stop at any point... Dont ask me to stop blogging or Orkutting... then what the internet is for me...

24hrs of suffocations, I finally decided to trust my phone and the Airtel connection... Airtel gprs is slow... gives the sped only in few 100s of kb/sec... but it had served a reliable connection for me before... So does today also... Or else how this blog come to you...

Talking about the gprs... I have seen many of my friends using that now a days... the fact is for most it's me who advertised... The only problem is I cant use from my laptop, since I have Windows Vista running there... and Motorola's 'Mobile Phone tools' is not compactable with Vista.. SO I had to install that in our lab system...

Whatever, I am happy to see my mail accounts.... though I have to wait a bit longer for the apges to load...

But upon a sec thought... I have to do something regarding my internet addiction...

A quiet sunday...

For me Sundays were with only 2 options... stay in room, sleep whole day... or go out to have a blast with my buddies and brother... But today the second option was ruled out since one among was sick and unable to move out of room... But instaed of staying in my room and killing time... I decided to stay away from campus in Jacob's house...

The very idea of a week-end outing is nothing other that be out of campus where I stay whole of my week... Atleast one day I need to be out of the place... or else... ha ha ha I will forget the outside world...

Infact yesterday I dined with Jacob when he cooked dinner... he is a great cook... After the sunday mass, I was thinking of going back to campus... Later I thought I will stay here for some time... But 'some' turned to staying here a 'while longer'... making some tea... and eating some junk food inbetween... downloading and listening to music... and watching TV inbetween... May be an outing is good... but lazing around with my brother was fun too...

away from the shopping malls, parks, movie theatres... where we spend our Sundays... a 'quiet sunday' is infact relaxing... I am not in a crowd... and I am alone too...

The call of work...

Recently the most frequent question people ask me is regarding one thing; work!!! How is the work now? How far is the thesis? And people who never see me often around.... ‘Oh, so you submitted the thesis?’... The answering part is becoming difficult these days... Final year of the research... the pressure from many sides to finish off and go from here... and the work being lagged behind out of expectation.... it’s all painful...

It’s not like I am not working... The call of work is more than before... But at the same frequency are the distractions... Get rid of the tensions, I am upto many things... and in the end it’s affecting the work... Worse?!!

Meeting my guide in the morning and having discussions, I will be having a ton of work to do for the day... Today I just took 1 hr to finish some and discuss again... But the brain stopped working and I was worried... To get rid of it only I am writing this blog (the problem of keeping my laptop near work)... In the end it’s my own research time I am wasting... But I am feeling better.... till may be my boss call and tell... “1 hr is over now... where are you?”... Let me go back to work now...

Somebody remembered me!!!

That was a time I was having my dinner... as usual I was infront of Disney Channel... The day it changed the language to Telugu from English for most of the programmes, I had stopped watching that channel... But somehow Friday 7.00pm movie they kept in English... I was in a most relaxing mood... Then rang the phone... It was just a missed call... An unknown number... Again... Picked...

“hello, where are you”, other end....

Confused and unable to recognize the sound “I am in university”....

“so what are you doing?”

Still puzzled me... “May I know who is speaking”....

“Somebody thinking about you”....

Oh... a friend of mine... Unexpected... Never thought she will call; she had gone home days back... thought just forgot... there were few reasons to think like that... So the unexpected call was cheering... ‘Somebody thought about me, though I never expected’...

Few hours before that... Evening tea time...

I was sitting with my super senior and having a tea in our ‘Gops’... Inbetween he mentioned... ’You have got a fan in my work place. She was a student here in university before... told you are a good sports person and was very active’.... A fan!!! I jumped... I never knew I have fans... and people admire me like that...

So its not just somebody who just remembered me just one day... there are many who remember me... many a times a day... without my knowledge... and many loves me without my knowledge... I am loved and cared... by many... And I feel so so lucky....

A new beginning...

Here is the beginning... A new space, a new style...

The word 'beginning', it always brings hope... 'New' is always welcoming... refreshing...

Beginning is the end of something... end of a chapter, end of an era... We are closing a door to open to another one... another world...

It's always a human desire that something new should never give a disappointment... Well, it was my desire too... Somehow, we think and desire... but someone else decides some percent... things wont work the way we dream...

A tint of disappointment in the 'new beginning'... But never think I am stuck down... I am strong, and I will never let myself defeated... that's the beginning note for me...
